Working from home doesn’t mean maintaining a “life balance” goes out the window. This week, Jaylene Perez is sharing four productivity and general wellbeing hacks that are helping her stay balanced and stress-free while hunkering down at home.
Conquering Fears to Reach Your Goals
As we prepare to enter 2019, The Niche Movement team took some time to reflect. We give you tips and tricks for finding your niche all year long, but the New Year is a special time to celebrate accomplishments, to goal set, and above all to relax. Our Chief Editor Carmen Vernon encourages the Niche community to not only write down their goals, but also their fears. Try to conquer both this New Year. If a goal doesn't scare you, it might not be big enough.
Prioritizing Growth and Taking Risks in the New Year
As we prepare to enter 2019, The Niche Movement team took some time to reflect. We give you tips and tricks for finding your niche all year long, but the New Year is a special time to celebrate accomplishments, to goal set, and above all to relax. Our Social Media Intern Jaylene Perez took the time to write about taking risks. Jaylene urges the Niche community to pause in the hubbub of the holidays. Take a beat. Use the extra time to consider how far you've come in 2018—even if the growth is hard to see right now.
The Ultimate Guide to Building Your Personal Brand
This certainly took time, patience and dedication. But by staying true to who I am and encouraging a path that makes me want to write every day, I stumbled upon my own personal brand. While some readers may judge my writing or my stories, I do not. I write for myself, but I publish that writing on my blog to connect with people, to support progress and to give something back. This is true to who I am and how I thrive in the world. I am not happy unless I am somehow connecting with others, and I am not fulfilled unless I am doing something creative for myself.
How to Make Time For What You Love
“You make time for what you want to make time for.”
This is something I say to people often. It can apply to anything and speaks to what we value and what we make space for in our lives. Whether it is volunteering, starting your own venture, or networking, there is always more that we can do with our time to achieve our goals. But often, I find that people suffer from inertia. They get stuck in the routine of what they've always done or whatever is easiest. Time is a finite resource. When we "save" it, it isn't going into some bank to use later. We have to make the most of the time that is given to us.
